Aug 9, 2011 · Architectural Columns. August 7, 2012, 11:01 PM. A lot of the work we do is fairly generic retail and has brick wrapped columns along the canopy. I'm curious what the best way to create these is. I've been using architectural columns but I know that isn't technically how they are built (walls w/ finish material.)

What we've learned: 1. Keep the Structural model in a completely separate Revit file and link it into your model. It is hell to separate them inside the same file. May 17, 2012 · As ahmed said, use the coping tool to "cut" a beam perpendicular into another. If you want to miter 2 beams at a corner, simply select one of the beams and right click on the blue dot on the end. You'll see a command for "Edit Beam/Column Join". Select that.
